Goal of the event:
ur goal is to learn more closely how visually impaired people are doing their jobs and how they are doing their lives. Our goal is to visit the society. Visually impaired people are trained in this association. We have learned what kind of trainings they have and learned how to live their lives.
Short description of the event:
First of all, we have communicated with the president of the association we visited. We explained our intention to visit and realized the meeting. At this meeting we learned that there are 10,000 visually impaired active members throughout Turkey and that they have organized activities together. They all became like family, and they celebrate a certain day, week without a break. (Mother's Day, Father's Day, holidays, etc.). We learned that there are computer room, dubbing room, library in the association. We visited the dancing room. They use the audio room with the aim of publishing 150 books volunteered by different people on different days. On this page, visually impaired people can listen to the book they want on this site. The president of the association asked for our support for the projects they developed and we communicated that we would join them. The aim of our activity is to observe how people with visual disabilities maintain their education
