Goal of the event:
The goal of the event was to increase awareness towards blindness and to create new relationships among people with disabilities, Esners and other universitarian students in an enjoying and pleasant atmosphere.
Short description of the event:
The aperitif, in collaboration with UIC Pisa (Unione Italiana Ciechi e ipovedenti Onlus) and SISM (Segretariato Italiano Studenti di Medicina) , took place totally in the dark in a theater of Pisa. The dishes were served by blind waiters and nice music was played during the aperitif (revealing also a great skill of the musicians). After the great success of the blind dinner of last year, we really wanted to repeat this unique event which is a wonderful opportunity to increase the awareness towards blindness in an enjoying way. The situation is upside down and in the meanwhile, you laugh for your inability and reflect on what means living like this.
How did your event go?:
This event was a success. All the participants were very curious about the evening and most of them, strangers before the evening, discover the real face of the table mate only when the light was on. Therefore it was also a great opportunity to meet and interact with new people ignoring their appearance.
