Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
The aim of the event that we organized was to increase awareness of disabled people among international and non-international students and the goal was above all help them feel first-hand the obstacles that students with disabilities face daily. In this way what seemed to be a useless and peculiar activity in reality turned to be a moment during which students could deeply understand how naturally lucky they are when being able to use both hands to paint, in this case.
Short description of the event:
During our International dinner event ( one of the last events of the semester) we created a spot in the canteen that was dedicated to an activity that aims to increase awereness of prople with disabilities. Our erasmus students were involved with painting christmas draws and pictures with painting and pencils but with only one exception: they had to paint without using their hands! Thereforefore, they used their arms, mounts and neck to paint and have fun playing this game. In this way, they realized first-hand the obstacles that students with disabilities face daily. It was not a simple game to have fun but also food for toughts about what disability means and how important is to give disables attentions and help whenever they need.
How did your event go?:
The erasmus student have been entusiastic of the game and the most of them took part to it.
