Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
With this event, within our weekly appointment with the Erasmus aperitif, our ESN members wanted to sensitize local people and Erasmus students about living without a sense and dealing with apparently usual and simple daily things like eating.
Short description of the event:
We organized a blind dinner within our weekly appointment with Erasmus aperitif, in which Erasmus, esners and local students had to deal with a completely unknown menu and had to guess, while eating blindfolded, which were the main ingredients of the courses we gave them. During the dinner all the participants, between one plate and another, got the chance to share their feelings altogether and they got interviewed to comment their experience with the rest of the clients in the restaurant. In this way we tried to sensitize everyone who took part to this event about living without one sense.
How did your event go?:
The feedback was really good. The participants were really joyfull after their experience, they had so much fun and they talked a lot about how it felt to be blindfolded. They told us to repeat it next semester.
