Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
The aim of the event was to let people appreciate what meeting another person without the use of eyesight but just by listening the sound of the interlocutor's voice may be: we want to sensitise people to blindness, in a society too interested in outward appearance and beauty
Short description of the event:
The participants were delivered a tag with a number at first; then, they were blindfolded and carried to a table where they had some time to know something about their interlocutor using Italian, English or the language they preferred.
They were delivered a piece of paper, too, where we could write down for them the numbers of all the people they talked to and hang it at their neck.
At the end of all the conversations they removed their blind fold from their eyes, so that they were able to recognize all the people they had known just thanks to their voice's sounds and what they had told them
How did your event go?:
It was really great, all the participants were enthusiasted and asked the coordinator to organize another one. They told us it was really curious and unusual for them, not to have the chance to see the other person. Sometimes they had to take the hand of the other person, one more time they had to speak louder.
