Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
The purpose of this activity was to approach the Erasmus student to a social reality such as Down syndrome and that themselves eliminate their prejudices towards people with Down syndrome while together had a fun afternoon
Short description of the event:
The activity with the Asindown association took place on Friday, March 24th in the Exchange Ability Week 2017 program. We met at the Campanar Bowling Club to accompany the Asindown youths in their leisure activities of this afternoon, dividing us into two groups because of the number of people we were. Five ESN en UV volunteers participated and 10 Erasmus students came. First, one of the groups consisting of volunteers, Erasmus and members of Asindown went to have lunch while the other group started the games in the bowling, and later some were going to have a snack while others played their games. The activity began at six in the afternoon and lasted until almost nine o'clock in the evening.
How did your event go?:
both exchange students and the volunteers themselves spent a fun and a happy afternoon with the people of the association. They also really enjoyed sharing their afternoon with us and invited us to accompany them in other of their activities that we are already organizing.
