Goal of the event:
The aim of the event is raising awareness regarding to persons with the disabilities. In this event our focus point is people who do not have ability of sight. This project gives us a chance to understand and developing emphaty about visua disabilities.
Short description of the event:
During the event, we experience eating without the ability of sight as we blended our eyes. As ESN Nisantası, we aimed to build emphaty for visually impaired people and social issues they face. We organize the event in the school cafeteria so we provide participants with an area that everybody experience in the daily life. We closed participants' eyes under the supervision of ESNers and they started to eat. All of them have struggled pretty much while they are eating their meal. During the event, there were also university students who witnessed the event so we found chance to adress our issues to a wider mass. For sure, the participants went a step further in the way of understanding people with disabilities.
