Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
We aimed our Erasmus students, ESNers and local board members to be able to understand or at least get an idea about how blind people/ people with visual disabilities are coping with their casual lives.
Short description of the event:
We had our Erasmus students, ESNers and local board members joining us on this event. The place that was agreed to make this event happen organized the tables in a square form. We preferred this design to get a capture of everyone perfectly.

We had everybody sitting next to each other and then we tidied everybody’s eyes and then had the servings (forks, knives, meal etc.) coming up one by one. Nobody saw where the plates or forks and knives went since we blindfolded them. Then we turned the lights off (to make sure they couldn't see). As local EA Coordinator, I and our local vice president captured every moment as they ate.
How did your event go?:
It was much better than we expected. There were people who couldn't eat with forks and knives so they tried to eat with their hands. Some of them couldn't raise the food up towards thier mouth with the fork and because of this the food fell off and they had empty forks in their mouths which was funny to watch. The rest was successful. The dinner was over before we even knew it.
