Goal of the event:
The goal of this event was to raise awareness for those who have Down's Syndrome. We aimed to show people that Down's Syndrome is not as a bad thing as they think it is. We also had a nice opportunity to talk with the workers of the Down cafe.
Short description of the event:
For this event, we as ESN Gazi went to a Down Cafe with our exchange students. We went there to have some cup of tea and to talk with the workers of the Down cafe to see what kind of feedback they are getting from the locals. We also got the chance the talk with the workers who have Down's Syndrome. They talked to us about how people sometimes don't want to come in to the cafe because of them but we assured them that we will visit a lot more often with a lot of different friends so that our other friends could see that such beautiful and nice people are working there.
How did your event go?:
The event went pretty well. We enjoyed ourselves and had a nice talk with the workers which gave us some ideas for our next events. The participants were pretty happy to be there.
