Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
The main goal of the EA sport event was to promote and show to the pupils how the disabled people manage to use the sport facilities everyday at the University.
Short description of the event:
In the spirit of the ExchangeAbility week we decided to organize an EA sport day which was held in Budapest at the Semmelweis University. During the day the students had the opportunity to practice the everyday life of a disabled person. They were able to experience group and team building activities such as trust fall (since trust is essential in life anyway, especially in this case), sneak and peek. In addition to the things mentioned above we provided some crutches and teach the students how could use them efficiently. The sense of sight is considered to be the most important sense among the others. That’s why we wanted to highlight the life of the blind people too , with organizing blindfolded activities such as blindfolded volleyball and basketball.
How did your event go?:
We were than we thought so next semester we should organize it earlier in the semester.
