Goal of the event:
The goal of this EA event was to raise awareness next to international students and to ESNers of the difficulties that people with visual impairment face in their everyday life.
Short description of the event:
ESN Coimbra organised a regular dinner for international students that included an EA activity:
half of the Erasmus students and of the ESNers couldn't see during their meal and the other half was supposed to help them out and to understand not only their difficulties, but also how autonomous they could be. Then we changed groups and continued the meal and the activity.
After we finished dinner we had the chance to talk about this experience and previous experiences that the international students had and it worked out really well.
It was really interesting to see how everybody had fun and how people took the activity seriouly.
How did your event go?:
It was really great! We managed to do this event in a very informal environment but facing this issue seriously. Both the international students and the ESNers had lots of fun.
