Goal of the event:
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about disabled people and to understand the difficulties they deal with during sport activities. We tried to feel empathy with them by playing table tennis with no use of hands.
Short description of the event:
As ESN Trabzon, we decided to make a project about the disabled people who are active in sport activities. So we could feel empathy with them and understand the difficulties they deal with. Our project was to play table tennis with no use of hands. In this purpose, we tied the players' hands behind them and asked them to try playing table tennis. They had to keep their racket in the mouth by biting. It was a little bit difficult for them in the beginning but in the process of time, they started getting used to it and they managed to play table tennis. We believe that it was a great event to raise awareness about the disabled sporters.
How did your event go?:
The event was totally great and all the participants had so much fun.
