Goal of the event:
The main goal was to raise awareness among our Erasmus students by watching the movie Les Intouchables and then having a discussion about the film and its main message. As with all other ExchangeAbility activities, we always try to make our students learn something new in a fun way. We want them to take home a valuable lesson.
Short description of the event:
Participants gathered in the student's club where projection started after solving technical difficulties. Students were watching the French film Les Intouchables that was already familiar to a majority of students. "It is first and foremost a movie about Philippe who suffered a paragliding accident that left him with no feeling from his neck to his toes." The film is a perfect example of how people with disabilites are very brave people. The main character in the film did not give up on his life, but continued to fight. It is based on a true story and it is very touching. "Philippe is given a second chance at life, the ability to indulge his love of speed again, to see Paris at night."
How did your event go?:
At the beginning, we had some technical difficulties where we lost a lot of time while trying to figure it out. This kind of an issue occured without expecting it and at the last minute, so there is not much to improve for next time. We can test everything out few hours before just to make sure everything is working perfectly.
