Goal of the event:
The main goal was to make ESN more accessible and to raise awareness about different types of disabilities. Participants got to know how deaf people sometimes feel during their everyday activities.
Short description of the event:
Participants were divided into two groups. Both groups had sentences that they needed to guess. Each group had one representative which was changing each time the sentence was read. One representative was reading the sentence they needed to guess, and the person from the other group, with headphones on, had to guess what the other person was saying. ESN had loud music into the headphones in order to prevent this person from hearing what the other was saying. ESN was keeping up the score. The theme of sentences participants were guessing included ExchangeAbility, ESN in general and some personal characteristics of Erasmus students.
How did your event go?:
Participants faced difficulties that people with disabilities face every day. They were forced to use different strategies in order to get their message across. They learned and experienced something new and different while still having fun.
