Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
At this event we wanted to explain the potential of ESN and this year's flagship Project EcxhangeAbility with IEEE Marmara Student Branch. As IEEE members work on engineering projects, we hoped to give the "MapAbility" idea to them, and maybe they could come up with a Project idea to make our campus available for disabled people.
Short description of the event:
We started the event with the introduction of ESN to give a perspective about our potential and what we do, after that we also give little explanations about our all projects. After that, as the aim of this event we made a presentation about ExchangeAbility; and ExchangeAbility events. We mainly wanted to give them a thought of “if you were a disabled person, what difficulties you’d have to come through” and we wanted to add all aspects like going into the campus, reaching your class, and during the class period. As a result, it was kind of a bad experience because unfortunately, our university has very missing points about this topic; but it’s also a chance for us to improve it.
How did your event go?:
It went well and helpful for their future projects also. They really liked and they told that, they wanted to participate a project in Turkey which is "Robothand". Next time, we want to reach more student branches and clubs in our university.
