Description
Aim of the event:
  • Promote mobility
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
The objective of the activity is to make students aware that visual impairment is not an obstacle to day-to-day life, and also to promote mobility among the students of the center that we visit, since some are in university and have the opportunity to make an Erasmus scholarship.
Short description of the event:
First we conducted a series of workshops on blindness given by own students of the center of ONCE, people with visual impairment. Next, we carry out a training and a goalball tournament. In the workshops we were taught to eat without sight, to distinguish odors, and even we could ride on a tandem bike without looking and see how it feels totally different. Finally, we enjoyed a good afternoon training with the local goalball team.

We spoke with the ONCE, with whom we have done more activities, and arranged the visit. It has been a very entertaining and satisfying day for everyone, both for the OCNE association and for Erasmus students and ESNers.

How did your event go?:
The erasmus were very happy, despite having been at a very early hour in the afternoon (4pm). In this activity participated less erasmus, perhaps because it is already Wednesday of the EAW and students are a little saturated with so much activity (we are two sections in the city), and many who asked them had classes. On the other hand, those who came were very happy.
