Goal of the event:
Raising awareness by watching a movie about disabled people and playing games which may help us to understand disabled people better. These event was organized for not only local people but also international people to develop a common sense.
Short description of the event:
We met in our university to watch a movie. It was "the Diving Bell and the Butterfly" by Julian Schnabel and it won awards including at the Cannes Film Festival. It is about a man who had a massive stroke and his challenge to hold on to life. He even wrote a book by blanking his eye.
After watching the movie with erasmus people, we moved to a different place to play some games. This activity included:
- Lip reading (we try to read the others lips when we listen to music with earphone)
- Art in Dark ( firstly we draw a picture by seeing and then we tried to draw same thing without seeing.)
- Guess in Dark (we try to understand what we touch when our eyes were covered.)
How did your event go?:
the movie was touching and the games were entertaining. They also raised our awareness about disabled people.
