Goal of the event:
Our goal was for erasmus students but also for locals to understand the importance of paralympic sports and what it means for dissabled people to take part in them. Opportunities like that are rare, unfortunately, and exactly because of that these life lessons are so important.
Short description of the event:
In this activity, we formed teams and we played the paralympic sport called goalball. We had fun but we also learned a valuable lesson. We got a little taste of what it means to take part in a sport but without one of our most basic senses, our vision! Opportunities like that are rare, unfortunately, and exactly because of that these life lessons are so important. And in this special occasion we also had the help of a local paralympic athlete who is completely blind. His precious help, was very important to us all, not only because of his presence, but also because he really showed us how it is to take part in a game so demanding but without your vision.
How did your event go?:
All in all we achieved our goals, had fun, learned a really important life lesson. And in this special occasion we also had the help of a local paralympic athlete who is completely blind. His precious help, was very important to us all, not only because of his presence, but also because he really showed us how it is to take part in a game so demanding but without your vision.
