Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
The goal of this party was to raise awareness in the participants of the party about the obstacles that blind people have to go through when they want to go out to a bar.
Short description of the event:
To this activity we only needed blindfolds and music. The aim of it was to raise awareness among the Erasmus students towards people with a visual impairment.
Before this party started the Erasmus were explained that this party was being thrown with the purpose of making them be more aware about how people with a visual impairment struggle to do things that are considered normal and effortless to the ones who don't have it.
After that explanation the party started and the Erasmus responded well to the main activity. It consisted of blindfolding them (and buddies) while they drank a shot, simulating blindness.
They were blindfolded before they had the cup in their hand so they had to grab it from the table by listening to directions, then drink it and put it back on the table, again with instructions.
How did your event go?:
Before the activity started the Erasmus were explained what the meaning of the activity was.
It went very well and had a lot of Erasmus attending. There were also some Erasmus dancing blindfolded
