Goal of the event:
The goal of this event is to raise awareness about disabilities and realize that WE ARE ALL THE SAME AND WE ALL HAVE THE SAME NEEDS!!! We had the chance to meet people with syndrome down, autism etc. and we learned more about their daily life and what kind of difficulties they face.

Are you ready for something different? Our ExchangeAbility Week begins with our visit to “MERIMNA” on Monday 28/11 !!!
“MERIMNA” is a recognized Therapeutic Educational Centre and it was founded in Patras, Greece, in 1969. It is specialized in providing education, vocational training and psychosocial support to people, from the ages 5 years and over, with Intellectual Disabilities, Down Syndrome and Autism.

On Monday (28/11) you are going to have the chance to raise awareness about disabilities and realize that WE ARE ALL THE SAME AND WE ALL HAVE THE SAME NEEDS!!! There, they will give us a tour and the chance to meet them and learn more about their daily life, and participate in some of their activities ( play with them, dance with them and more).
How did your event go?:
Except of some problems with our transportation, the event was perfect! The erasmus students were really excited when they met these people and very warm ! They learned so many things and we played music all together. In the end we had a discussion all together about their experience!
The cooperation with the therapeutic educational center "Merimna" was perfect and for sure we will visit them soon!
