Goal of the event:
During the ExchangeAbility week we went with a group of ESN'ers on a tour trough the university, to map the University of Southern Denmark, Campus Odense. The goal of the event was to find out if the university is accessible for people with a disability.
Short description of the event:
ESN Odense was happy to participate in the ExchangeAbility week and were able to contribute making our community more accessible and inclusive. Between the 28th of November and the 4th of December the first ever ExchangeAbility Week takes place all around the 39 ESN countries. We decided to have a Mapping activity. During this event we had the chance to discover University as a person with a disability. We now have a better understanding of the possibilities and services the university offers and will be able to provide incoming students with special needs with this information. This was our first ExchangeAbility event and we are looking forward to be able to create more movements with a social impact in the near future.
How did your event go?:
The tour went well. We followed the checklist provided by the website. We have the chance to ask a person with a disability about his personal experiences in regards to mobility at our University.
