Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
Our section decided to continue in Exchange Ability events the second semester in a row ( in previous semester we organised in cooperation with Disabled centre for handicaped one event). This time I organise very popular EA event abroad - Dinner in the Dark. The goal of the project was to understand needs of people who are not able to see anything in theirs life, try to be in their foot.
Short description of the event:
The event was organised in Dormitory Canteen. Because of the huge amount of participated students, they were divided into two groups- each group of 2 people. the first one was with scarf (for eyes) and second help to orient them. They came with scarf on their eyes the whole road to the canteen. Each person without scarf in a given group decided to choose the meal for this ,,blinded,, person. They simply did not know to last minute, what they would eat. After that they tried to guess this food. Many students decided to choose something Slovak ( fried cheese) which also make a good atmosphere of this event.

There were also some Slovak students who see our students eating food.

How did your event go?:
I can say that Erasmus students enjoy this event so much. They really like this kind of event, even in some cases they make happy to everybody who eats with a scarf.
What I can improve for the future, it could probably less participants for this event. However we did not know the exact number till last evening (as usually). And try to walk from place as it was planned. But anyway this type was really amazing.
