Goal of the event:
We participated in a fair with different associations that work with people with disabilities. The aim was to give information about the Exchange Ability project and MappED! Other of the goals was to make the Erasmus students be aware of the different associations of people with disabilities that exist in Extremadura.
Short description of the event:
The event was held in Mérida, other of the cities which is a university campus of the University of Extremadura. Several stands were set up on San Francisco Street to make people know about the different associations of people with disabilities that we have in Extremadura. Some of these associations were AFADISCOP, ADABA or Down Merida, among many others. ESN also had a stand with lots of leaflets and information brochures to show what it is about and more specifically about the Exchange Ability project and about MappED! The Esners were explaining everything to the people that came around and also they encouraged the inclusion and equal opportunities for Erasmus students with physical disabilities. The Erasmus students went to see other associations to know a bit more about them and they finally participated in a linguistic exchange talking with volunteers with other associations.
How did your event go?:
Everything went well. Many information was provided to everybody that asked and also many leaflets were given. It was meant to be on Saturday 3rd but because of weather conditions, the event was put off for Wednesday 7th. Many people came.
