Goal of the event:
Putting the students through the challenge of not hearing or seeing, we wanted to show them how a person without hearing or vision, can feel. The goal was to raise awareness.
Short description of the event:
In the event we included two games, Speed Friend-ing and Whispering Challenge. For the first game, the students had to have their eyes closed with a handkerchief. They were sitting in a table and had in front of them another person with their eyes closed too. They had to use the language or the sense to learn more about the other person and make a new friend. Then, the couples were changing with a help from an ESNer and the keep doing the same until they had talked with everyone. In the second game, a student had his ears closed by listening a very loud music and tried to understand what the person in front of him was saying, by only reading his lips. They used words based on ExcahngeAbility, Erasmus and general.
How did your event go?:
Even if we were expecting more people to come, the event was really good, the students seem to like it a lot and learn about ExchangeAbility and have fun at the same time.
