Goal of the event:
The event intends to introduce ExchangeAbility to the public, raise awareness and celebrate our moto "Ability in disAbility" .
We wanted to arrange an event to get together, to discuss about the project and to promote all the other ExchangeAbility events.
Short description of the event:
We closed a cooperation with the best co-working space in Athens, The Cube Athens. They sponsored our event with refreshments and water. We prepared popcorn for 70 people and we all get along in a beautiful way.
We watched the movie "When hope grows". The movie was about a baseball player whose professional career was cut short due to personal problems is suddenly awakened and invigorated by a young-man with down syndrome who works at the local grocery store.
At the end of the movie we had a great discussion about the project, the project's aims, the upcoming events and the meaning of it.
It was touching and it raised awareness to all the participants.
How did your event go?:
It went great! It was a cozy bonding night!
We had a great conversation at the end and we all dropped a tear together.
