Goal of the event:
We wanted Erasmus people to meet and play with the charges of ''Na Tak'' foundation which is uniting people with various intellectual disorders. In that way we wanted to integrate them, let them make new friends with our local comunity and raise awarness about the intellectual disorders. By this event we also wanted to show that sport has no boundaries and everyone can join it and have fun!
Short description of the event:
We organised the bowling tournament for which we invited not only Erasmus people but the charges of the ''Na tak'' foundation. We put them together in 6 groups in which they were playing for special awards. Every group had from 4 to 7 persons. In every group, at least was one person from ESN, to allow our students talk with our guests. But our members were also playing in the game.
All the tournament took 3 hours. Everyone had a lot of fun, and made a new friendship with our guests. And everyone broke down boundaries not only about the bowling but intellectual disabilities.
At the end of the championship, every participant received ExchangeAbility Certificate of Recognition. Of course we took a group picture. And the 10 best people ( and one, with the lowest score) get the voucher from Bowling Alley's owner ( for antoher game of course!)
How did your event go?:
It went amazing! Erasmus people were very glad that we organised something like that with local, disabled people. They were very excited about meeting them, and playing with them. At the end they said that it was very inspiring and educative experience.
What's more, our special guests were very thankful that someone had thought about them. They liked it a lot, even if at the beginning they were a little bit afraid of the foreing students reactions. But with every moment of our event they were breaking the ice, and making more and more friendships
