Goal of the event:
The goal of this event was to have a sign language session where the final result would be to make a video with the participant Erasmus of the session giving an inclusive message to society, saying "You can also join Erasmus"
Short description of the event:
This session consisted of giving the participant Erasmus some basic notions of American Sign Language by watching some videos teaching the sign language alphabet and some expressions.
The result was, not only to teach the Erasmus that even def people can do an Erasmus mobility, but also the whole Portuguese community, and hopefully other people in other parts of the world. In order to make this message reach as many people as possible we made a video where the Erasmus, in American Sign Language, said "You can also join Erasmus" (each Erasmus said a word) and posted it on facebook.
How did your event go?:
The activity went well in general. The Erasmus were very interested in learning and one of the participant Erasmus knew sign language, which was very helpful at the time of shooting the video.
