Goal of the event:
To show students how hard is to be blind and give them opportunity to try to have dinner with eyes closed and also get to know something about blind people.
Short description of the event:
We wanted to show students how hard is to be blind, give them opportunity to try something new - how hard is to eat when you can not see, try to use some equipment for blind people - games, books in braille and also walking with walking stick.
First we gave students a discription about the event, than they got masks to be blind for a while and we took them to the classroom. We served them drinks and than food. They sat at the table - 4 students at aech table. After the main course, students had cake and that we told them some fact about beeing blind and about the equipment. Than they had time to try everything - the played games, they tried to read and walking with the stick. After this they wrote little feed back and we went home.
How did your event go?:
It went really well - everything was well prepared, students enjoyed.
Things, which should be impoved: more games and buddies should be quite.
