Goal of the event:
The goal of the event was to raise awareness but also the "ticket" for the movie was to bring plastic bottle caps which we collect for a local school for people with disabilities, and they use them for various purposes such as hand made things and decorations but also they exchange them with recycle companies and get a little symbolic refund in return.
Short description of the event:
We watched a movie, "My name is Sam" and tried to raise the awareness of the ones that came on the situation of people with certain disabilities and their struggle with the everyday life and with things that we take for granted. But there was also another purpose of our home-made cinema: The "ticket" for the movie was to bring plastic bottle caps which we collect for a local school for people with disabilities, and they use them for various purposes such as hand made things and decorations but also they exchange them with recycle companies and get a little symbolic refund in return.
How did your event go?:
The activity went great. I believe that all the participants understood the message that we tried to spread out but we also collected a lot of bottle caps, so all in all it was a success.
